In my house, we're always running out of adhesive bandages. So when I was asked by Walgreens to try out one of their Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products , I thought this would be the perfect item to try. So I went to my local Walgreens and bought a box of their Flexible Fabric Adhesive Bandages. Adhesive bandages are one of those items that I've had terrible experiences with when I "cheap out" and buy the generic or store brand. So I was eager to put one on a recent cat scratch I got!
The first thing I noticed was the price. They only cost $2.99 or 2/$5.00 for 30 bandages. The "other brand" cost $3.79 for the same amount, and had no extra savings for buying more than one. So right off the bat, I was pleased.
The scratch was on the inside of one of my fingers, so I used the smallest sized bandage. It easily wrapped around my finger and I loved that it really was a flexible fabric and not the hard, stiff plastic bandages that I've used in the past. It stuck firmly in place, and I was still able to move my finger freely and I barely even felt it was there. I have to say though, when I washed my hands, it didn't take long for it to lose its grip. But that's understandable. I didn't buy the water-resistant type bandages, so this was expected. All in all, I think this brand worked great, and was very comparable to the name brand bandages I've bought in the past. Walgreens made a believer out of me!
