My Opinion

I chose the Smiling Sky Gift Basket to review. I think this would make a good "congratulatory" basket with the smileys and stars. The first thing I took note of was just how big the basket was! Also, the amount of cookies. I was glad to see that it came with 2 dozen cookies. Plenty to go around in my full house! The basket itself was very nicely wrapped in clear gift wrap, and tied perfectly with a white bow. It was all professionally done.

I couldn't wait to open them up and give them a try. You can tell these cookies are hand-iced. Every cookie was different. I couldn't believe how big these cookies were. They're huge! According to the website, they are 4" in diameter. I was able to get QUITE a few bites out of one cookie. Speaking of bites...they were delicious. I'm not usually a fan of sugar cookies. They're usually very hard and when you bite into them, they break into lots of pieces. Not these sugar cookies. I was expecting the cookie to fall apart with my first bite, but it stayed in one piece until I finished it.

Another thing I must say, is that these cookies were soft, moist, and a little chewy. I was expecting them to be hard and dry. I took the advice of a little note packed with them, and microwaved them for 10 seconds. This made them even better. It enhanced the taste, and they were softer. They really tasted fresh baked.

Everyone in my house, all 5 of us, really liked these cookies. My daughter loved them and thought they were so cute. I put one dozen on a plate on the kitchen table. I'm sure they won't last long!
